Residential and commercial concrete in High Point and nearby towns

Burton Concrete handles seven kinds of concrete work — driveways, patios, walkways, decorative finishes, commercial concrete, repairs, and foundations — for homes and businesses in High Point and nearby towns.
We pour concrete driveways and replacements, patios and outdoor living spaces, walkways and sidewalks, stamped and decorative finishes, commercial concrete for businesses, foundations and slabs for new construction, and repairs for concrete that’s cracked or sunk. Every service gets the same site prep, the same written quote, and the same crew from start to finish. If you’re not sure which one fits your project, start with a call — we’ll tell you plainly what it needs.

Concrete finishes, side by side
Not sure which finish is right for your project? Here’s a quick side-by-side on cost, appearance, and how much upkeep each one needs over time.
| Finish | Relative Cost | Look | Maintenance |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard broom | $ | Clean, functional | Minimal, sealing optional |
| Stamped | $$$ | Mimics stone, brick, or slate | Reseal every 2–3 years |
| Colored | $$ | Solid or blended tone | Reseal periodically |
| Exposed aggregate | $$ | Textured, natural stone look | Occasional cleaning and light resealing |
These are general guides, not quotes — the right price depends on your specific site, size, and access. We’ll give you an exact number after we’ve seen the job.
How to choose the right concrete service
If you already know what you want, jump to that service page. If you’re weighing a few options — repair versus replace, plain versus decorative, a simple slab versus a full outdoor living space — here’s how we’d think it through.
New pour or repair?
A repair makes sense when the damage is limited to a section or two and the rest of the slab is sound — it’s faster and less expensive. Replacing the whole thing is the better call when most of the surface has failed, or when the underlying base is the real problem. We’ll tell you honestly which one your project needs, and price both if you want to compare.
Plain or decorative?
A standard broom finish is the practical choice — lower cost, good traction, and it holds up the same as any other well-poured concrete. Decorative finishes like stamped or colored concrete cost more upfront and need occasional resealing, but they change the whole look of a driveway or patio. Neither option affects how long the concrete itself lasts — that comes down to the base and reinforcement either way.
Residential or commercial?
Commercial work carries heavier loads and usually has to work around business hours, which changes the reinforcement and the schedule, not the basic process. We handle both, and we quote each one for what it actually needs to hold rather than using one spec for everything.
